Peer Review Process

The review process in Al-Ma'had: Jurnal Ilmiah Kepesantrenan follows the commonly applied procedures in international journals. The following are the stages of the review process that are generally conducted in this journal:

Desk Review Stage: In this stage, the journal editor will check the submitted manuscript to ensure that it meets the initial criteria. The editor will check if the manuscript's topic is relevant to the focus and scope of the journal, whether the writing style and format comply with the specified guidelines, and whether the manuscript does not contain any plagiarism.

Peer Review Stage: At this stage, the manuscript will be reviewed by experts in the relevant field of study. The peer reviewers will evaluate the content, research methodology, language clarity, and appropriateness of the manuscript to the journal's objectives and scope. The review results will be sent to the author as feedback on their manuscript.

Revision Stage: If the review results suggest that there are improvements or revisions needed, the author is requested to revise the manuscript. The author is given time to make revisions according to the suggestions and criticisms given by the reviewer. The author is also required to respond to each comment or suggestion provided by the reviewer.

Final Stage: After the manuscript has been revised, it will enter the final stage for processing into publication. In this stage, the editor will recheck the manuscript to ensure that it complies with the journal's format and relevant regulations. After that, the manuscript will be published in the journal with the issue number and publication date that have been determined.
